Product: “Stress Eater Diet: A Simple Guide for Women Who Want to Stress Less, Lose More and Look Fabulous!” by by Robert B. Posner (Author), Linda Hlivka (Author)

Website: http://www.stresseaterdiet.com

Description: Based on new published research, the Stress Eater Diet is a revolutionary program that can help rid you of stress and control your weight through a proven nutritional and simple exercise plan. It will reduce stress eating while balancing your mood and increasing your energy. The Stress Eater Diet combines:

- Nutrition
- Stress Relieving Exercise
- Calming Techniques
- Serotonin boosting foods (activating calming mood sensors in the brain)

The Stress Eater Diet will transform your stress eating into healthy eating and to a lifestyle that helps you stress less, sheds pounds and energize your life.

sedMy Review: Your Stress Eater’s Diet is full of fabulous information and honestly couldn’t be coming at a better time. Right now 80% of Americans are stressed because of the economic downturn and the associated stressors of job security or loss, housing and stock market declines, healthcare concerns, rising prices, etc. Close to 70% report an average of two sleepless nights per week. With all this stress people need to learn how to manage stress and cope with it in a way that spares their emotional sanity and keeps them from stress eating.

And that’s what this book offers. The Stress Eater Diet provides a solution for determining stress triggers, dealing with stress, as well as increasing metabolism so more calories are burned efficiently. It will provide a step-by-step approach to reduce and or eliminate stress along with nutritional guidelines that will make weight loss easier, enhance energy, and improve long-term health. The important part of to The Stress Eater’s diet plan that I particularly love is their focus on understanding the importance and making permanent behavior modification.

The Stress Eater Diet plan was developed by Robert Posner, M.D and Linda Hlivka, Clinical Nutritionist through a medically supervised program. The Stress Eater Diet includes a four week jumpstart plan. The plan promises that the “jumpstart plan shows that in 4 weeks, coping and eating habits can be modified. Stress can be reduced and up to 15 pounds can be lost in that time frame.” While I haven’t followed the jumpstart plan, reading over it everything about it looks sane, grounded in science, and do-able. This is not a complicated program. There are some very simple things outlined in the book that can be done easily to reduce stress levels. With regard to weight loss, there are simple guides and meal plans that can be adapted to a busy lifestyle.

They say anything over 19 means you are an extreme stress eater and I got 39…ouch! I had some awareness, but possibly not that I was double extreme!

My job is my number one stressor. I can go for hours at my desk without eating but then when I get home all I want to do is sit down with a box of cakes, some pasta, fries and pizza.

Thanks for posting that link…I think it’s something I’ll definitely invest in to see what they recommend.

looks like a book i might need based on these results:
Thank you for taking the Stress Eater Quiz. Your score was 33.

By your responses to the quiz, you are an extreme stress eater. Stress controls your eating patterns causing you to lose constant control of your diet. You can feel out of control at times causing you to feel badly about yourself. You may also not feel healthy due to poor food choices and have low mood and energy

LOL, not sure if you Canadians are eligible for this contest ..and if not, no biggie, i will put the book on my list of rewards!

    thanks for the recommendation!

I scored 16. I’m pretty decent at MANAGING my stress, but that doesn’t mean I don’t get stressed!

I get stressed out when I’m dealing with negative people. That’s what really brings me down! This book looks super interesting, I’d love to give it a read. Thanks for reviewing!

Holy cow I got a 27! I mean I know I reach for the chips when I’m stressed, but it’s not every day and I’ve been doing alot to improve so it’s not even once a week anymore. I think most of the stress in my life is work related. Actually now that I think more about it most of the time when I stress eat it’s money stress.

34 points.. not at all surprised, seeing as how i am studying for midterms right now and must have eaten half a box of cereal in the last 2 days. Considering I have 2 more years of university, i could really use this book to help me deal!

I scored 19. I am not sure how objective I was when I answered the questions. I tried to be honest, but I wasn’t sure myself which answer was the right one for me. When I have work deadlines, I hardly eat. But then, there are other stressful times when I eat mindlessly.

    My results:
Thank you for taking the Stress Eater Quiz. Your score was 34. By your responses to the quiz, you are an extreme stress eater.

I’m definitely a stress eater and an emotional one. I eat in response to happy and sad emotions. So far I’ve been doing ok in changing what I eat (hello lattes), but I still haven’t been able to tackle the root causes and stop the eating. Though this week, I did eat two soy ice cream sandwiches (mocha soy ice cream in between two oatmeal cookies all covered in dark chocolate – I really shouldn’t have discovered these things) one evening because I knew they were announcing layoffs the next day. I knew I was stress eating, but I just let myself do it anyway.

My fiancee has recently put on quite a bit of weight. And it looks like it could be due to stress. Maybe I’ll buy a copy and put it on the coffee table — unless anyone else has a better suggestion for dealing with a stressed bride-to-be?
